You are not required to make a reservation but it is encouraged in order to secure your spot in our facility. Reservations require a non-refundable $50 deposit. Motor homes, pontoons, taller campers (over 10'), and taller boats (over 10') are strongly encouraged to make a reservation, as these spots are limited.
An appointment is not necessary during our normal and extended hours of operation. Check the Hours page for reference. However, advanced notice does help expedite the storage process.
We are closed January 1st to March 15th. If you require to visit our facility during that time frame, call ahead 48 hours prior to make an appointment.
All units must check in or check out at the office trailer near the big white building prior to entering the mine. Payment for storage is collected at the check-in part of the storage season. The unit owner will then drive to the entrance of the mine around the asphalt roadway at the bottom of the hill. A Toy's Underground attendant will then accompany the unit into the mine for storage.
Yes, for the general storage the maximum height is 12 feet and for the heated rooms the maximum height is 9 feet.
There is a small fee of $25 per time that you remove & return your unit.
The most important thing is to make sure your unit is dry before storing it away to avoid any moisture problems. We suggest putting desiccant in your unit to help absorb any moisture.
You can buy your desiccant right before you store your unit away!
We have Damp Check available for purchase in the office.
Also, please don't forget that there are no external propane tanks or portable gas tanks permitted in the mine.
Yes, the general storage is 52 °F plus or minus 2 °F year-round. Our heated rooms stay at 62 °F year-round.
Only individuals on the lease agreement are permitted to pick up any unit.
Yes, please call ahead and arrangements can be made to check on your unit. All individuals entering the mine must be accompanied by a Toy's Underground attendant.
No, for liability reasons all units must be removed from the mine for any sort of repairs.
